How to find a cellphone number

May 11th, 2009

Is it really possible to do a free mobile number reverse lookup on the Web? Many people have been dismayed and discouraged previously with websites that appear to offer free products online, but in reality aren’t. Is this the case for the cell phone reverse lookup?

To begin let’s discuss what we mean by a phone number search. If you have a home phone number but no idea who the number belongs to. You can use a number lookup site like Google to see the details. This can be very useful in situations where you lost contact with someone but still have a record of their phone number, or simply to check who owns the number. There are many places where you can make these residential and business phone inquiries on line searches for free, including fax phone numbers.

Unfortunately, a problem arises when you need to run a reverse lookup on a cell phone as the free directories won’t include such phone numbers. So, if you’re looking for an Iowa cell number you may have a problem. These listings do not contain cell phone numbers as this information is only in the hands of carriers and telecommunications companies. Do these documents exist & are they free?

The good news is that there are websites that offer a large number of cell phone numbers, but they are not free. These websites of course need to pay a fee to gain access to some of this data, and go to the trouble and expense of obtaining all resources into a single location and thus, you must pay a small price for access to their research. Often times though, the rate is typically a single purchase and you can do as many searches as you want. These records generally include cell owner details, address history, carrier information, and the phone and connection status. We should mention that the databases offered by each company differ to some extent, but most include cell phones, residential, business, fax, toll-free and pagers. With these web sites your lookups are guaranteed legal & confidential.

We’ve seen websites that claim to offer free cell research, but that has always led to programs charging a price in the end. Some do allow people to search for free and then see the results. The sad truth is that the only place where you can find detailed reverse cell records is within the legitimate paid directories. To conclude, cell phone searches are not free. However, if you really want access to these records, we believe that it is a small price to pay.
